The Transalpina Ski Resort – Voineasa is one of the newest, most modern, and spectacular ski resorts in Romania. Located in the Parâng Mountains, in the Obârșia Lotrului area, the resort offers an excellent balance between recreational skiing, modern cable transport infrastructure, and impressive mountain panoramas.

Thanks to its alpine location and slope configuration, the resort is suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers.

Access and Distance from Zan Hotel

The Transalpina Ski Resort – Voineasa is located approximately 30 km from Zan Hotel. Access is provided via paved roads all the way to the base area. During the winter season, winter tires are recommended, and snow chains may be required in difficult weather conditions.

Transalpina Gondola Lift

Access to the slopes is provided by two modern enclosed gondola lift lines, ensuring efficient transport for skiers and visitors even during busy periods.

Access to the Slopes and Lift Facilities

From the upper gondola station, visitors have direct access to:

– the main ski slopes of the resort
– chairlift access for intermediate areas
– ski lifts dedicated to beginners and training zones

The resort layout allows smooth descents without difficult crossings or narrow sections.

Altitudes and Ski Slopes

Base altitude: approx. 1,320 m
Maximum altitude: approx. 1,850 m
Vertical drop: approx. 530 m

The resort offers approximately 9 km of certified and well-maintained slopes, including:

– easy slopes, ideal for beginners and children
– intermediate slopes suitable for recreational skiing
– advanced slopes designed for experienced skiers

Slope lengths vary from approximately 800 m to over 2,000 m, with wide and well-designed runs.

Ski and Snowboard School

At the base of the resort, ski and snowboard schools operate with certified instructors, offering:

– individual or group lessons
– courses for children and adults
– beginner and advanced training (skiing and snowboarding)

The base area and beginner slopes provide a safe and spacious environment for first lessons.

Equipment Rental Centers

Near the gondola station, visitors will find equipment rental centers offering:

– skis, boots, and poles
– snowboards
– helmets and children’s equipment

Their location ensures quick access to the lift facilities and ski slopes.

Parking

The ski resort offers approximately 500 parking spaces, including:

– approx. 380 spaces in the main elevated parking area
– approx. 120 ground-level spaces

The parking areas are located next to the gondola lift, rental centers, and ski schools, providing quick and convenient access. Parking is available for a daily fee.
